Frequently asked questions

A standard tracker-plus-dashcam install takes 45–90 minutes per vehicle. Our certified technicians install at your premises anywhere in Kenya at no callout fee for fleets of 5+, and we schedule around your operations — nights and weekends included — so vehicles don't lose a working day.

Nothing is lost. Every device buffers trips, events and video locally (store-and-forward) and uploads automatically the moment coverage returns. You see a complete, gap-free history even for routes through northern Kenya, border corridors or mine sites.

Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, South Sudan and DR Congo — with multi-network roaming SIMs included in the subscription. Cross-border fleets keep reporting on one dashboard with no roaming surprises.

The monthly subscription covers the platform, SIM connectivity and data, over-the-air updates, onboarding and support. Devices and professional installation are a one-time cost quoted per vehicle, so you can match camera hardware to each vehicle's risk profile.

Yes. We bill in Kenyan Shillings and support M-Pesa, bank transfer and card. Annual commitments save roughly 15% versus the monthly rate.

You can run month-to-month or commit annually for the discount. There are no multi-year lock-ins and no penalty for scaling vehicle count up or down as your fleet changes.

You do — always. We are registered with Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner as both a Data Controller and a Data Processor (ID 734-773B-7D9C), and our agreements state plainly that your operational data belongs to you. Export it any time via reports or the API.

Camera policy is yours to configure. Road-facing recording is continuous while driving; the driver-facing camera can be set to event-only capture (e.g. harsh braking, collision, fatigue alerts) to balance safety evidence with driver privacy — and in-cab audio can be disabled entirely.

Support runs from Nairobi in your timezone — WhatsApp, phone and email. Critical issues (vehicle offline, camera down before a trip) are acknowledged within 15 minutes during operating hours and worked until closed, not just logged.

Yes — speed, route and driver-hour reports are formatted to what NTSA inspectors expect, and renewal tracking flags expiring licences and inspection certificates before they lapse. Our compliance team tracks regulatory changes so the formats stay current.

Yes. A full REST API and webhooks are included on Advanced and Premium plans, with ready patterns for M-Pesa reconciliation, ERP work-order sync and fuel-card matching. See the Developers page for documentation.

The driver app (Android-first, low-data) shows trips, safety scores, vehicle checks (DVIR) and messages. It's optional — the platform works fully without it — but fleets using driver scores see behaviour improve fastest.

GPS-equipped vehicles are recovered in the vast majority of cases — published industry figures put recovery above 80%, most within 24 hours, versus roughly a third without tracking. Live location, geofence alerts and engine-immobilisation support (where fitted) give recovery teams what they need.

Published fleet research reports 10–15% fuel-cost reduction in the first year, 20–40% fewer at-fault accident claims with AI dual dash cams, and ~14% lower maintenance costs from telematics-driven scheduling — with 71% of fleets recouping the investment within 12 months. Your results depend on baseline and adoption; the pricing page has an ROI calculator using your own numbers.

Yes — most customers start with a 30-day pilot on 5–10 vehicles. Pilot pricing matches the published rates, installation included, and pilot data carries straight into your production account if you proceed.
